Candy Basket

This weekend, my niece is having a fundraiser called Crescendo. It's on honour of her piano teacher, who passed away from cancer. She'll be doing some classical piano pieces, and her friends will do some musical theatre songs. And me and my hubs are going to do a tune on the piano.
I made a few baskets up and collected some items for a small silent auction. I found this idea on Pinterest - a candy basket. It's FILLED with CANDY and might not make it out of my house...!!

Ripple Goodness

It's been a while since I have finished a blanket for Handmade Hugs. So I started this one during the last week of December.
The ripple pattern always goes by so fast.
I did four rows of each colour, all in medium weight yarn from donate yarn or yarn from my own stash.
I worked on it while binge-watching the Mindy Project on Netflix. I love that show! I love Mindy! And Danny!
It was finished on Jan. 1 - my first FO of 2017!

More Bun hats thingies

I scribbled down a quick pattern for these ponytail bun hat things, and had to make a few more, to see if the pattern made sense.
I don't have long enough hair to put it all up through the top, but I think they turned out.
Here is the one I made for Amy, who gave me this idea in the first place.
Don't my laminate floors look nice?!

Coffe etc

The new term has started and things are very hectic. So I'm thinking back to Christmas vacation, when I had all the time in the world to have snacks and cookies and coffee and watch The Mindy Project from start to finish.
Aren't these the cutest cookies? Almost too good to eat.
And a perfect donut, yum.
And look at this prize pack my hubby won from 49th Parallel Coffee!
And even more treats. This was dinner one night, actually.

Custom Order: Play Pouches

My friend Amy got in touch with me a few weeks' back, to see if I could make some Christmas presents for her.
Here they are, little play pouches.
One is woodland themed, with mushrooms and bugs; the other is farm yard themed, with flowers and animals.
They all tie up in a pouch nicely and ready to go for next time!
