Look at one of my Christmas presents - the Vogue Knitting Stitch a Day Calendar!

There's no way I'm taking it to work, I've left it at home to flip through periodically and drool over designs like this:

 Oooh can't wait for July 17th:

 Or October 4th!

There are many, MANY awesome stitch patterns in this thing - maybe this will motivate me to write up some knitting patterns, wheeeee!!
